Former Patriots running back Corey Dillon was arrested Saturday night on claims of spousal abuse. His estranged wife, Desiree, called police to their Calabasas, CA home, claiming she had been assaulted.
Trouble continues to mount for Dillon, a former Super Bowl champion and four time Pro-Bowler who was also arrested for driving under the influence in Southern California last month.
Police were called to their Calabasas home following an altercation about their pending divorce. According to police reports, Desiree suffered minor injuries in the scuffle and dialed authorities shortly thereafter. Dillon was released on $50,000 bond.
Known as much for his behavioral problems as his talent, the Patriots took a chance on Dillon, trading for him in 2004. While in a Patriots uniform, Dillon was a model citizen. He played a major role in their Super Bowl winning season of 2004, but has since been unable to find the same balance in his private life.
