Fantasy Baseball Wrap-Up: Week 6

Andre Ethier

In the new look of the Wrap-Up, I will highlight the hot and cold players at each position. Why hear about how good the stud players are already doing when you can find out how well the widely available players are performing on the diamond? As always, let’s start with the list of key injuries.

Injuries

Andre Ethier (OF), L.A. Dodgers

The N.L. leader in just about everything suffered a broken pinky finger during batting practice over the weekend. No official word on how ling he will be out, but Ethier reported that he can’t hold the bat the way he normally does.

Travis Snider (OF), Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto’s power-hitting youngster hit the 15-day DL with a sprained wrist after complaining of pain during batting practice.

Justin Duchscherer (SP), Oakland A’s

In the middle of a bounce-back season, Duchscherer went on the 15-day DL with left hip inflammation.
