Fantasy Baseball Wrap-Up: Week 8

Kendry Morales

In the new look of the Wrap-Up, I will highlight the hot and cold players at each position. Why hear about how good the stud players are already doing when you can find out how well the widely available players are performing on the diamond? As always, let’s start with the list of key injuries.

Injuries

Nelson Cruz (RF), Texas Rangers

This is the 2nd DL stint for Cruz this season, this time is for a strained hamstring.

Jacoby Ellsbury (LF, CF), Boston Red Sox

We already know this in Beantown, but Ellsbury is back on the DL for fractured ribs.

Kendry Morales (1B), L.A. Angels

In contention for “Dumbest Injury Ever” with Clint Barmes falling down the stairs carrying deer meat, Morales is out of action for a long time after breaking his leg by jumping in the air and celebrating at home plate.

  1. Cruz is killing me, sort of. I love all the stats, but I can’t stand the injuries…
