2010 NBA Playoffs Expert Picks: NBA Finals Results

Celtics 17: Lakers 16. The banner count is still in Boston’s favor, but the Lakers are the first champions to repeat since … wait for it … the Lakers, from 2000 to 2002. At least the Lakers have been swept in the Finals three times, once to the Celtics. And the Celtics are now 4-1 against their arch-rival Hollywood elitists in Game 7s. Still, I’d feel better if the Celtics weren’t as old as dirt, and as broken as an American car.

The two of us that picked the Lakers to win it all cleaned up, especially with the obvious choice of Kobe for MVP. The two co-leaders from last round finish with bronze and 4th place, let’s call it cobalt. I was the only one to guess all that along with a seven-game series, so I’m tempted to give myself two extra points so I can win. But, what’cha gonna do?

All pleasantries aside, the winner is …. envelope and drum-roll please …. the winner is ….. Brian!. Congratulations Brian, and I only wish you had picked the Celtics to win, or Pau Gasol for MVP.
