Fantasy Baseball Wrap-Up: Week 12

Carlos Quentin

In the new look of the Wrap-Up, I will highlight the hot and cold players at each position. Why hear about how good the stud players are already doing when you can find out how well the widely available players are performing on the diamond? As always, let’s start with the list of key injuries.

Injuries

Dustin Pedroia (2B), Boston Red Sox

A heartbreaking loss for Pedroia owners as one of fantasy’s elite 2B broke his foot by fouling a ball off it. He will miss six weeks of action.

Placido Polanco (2B, 3B), Philadelphia Phillies

Polance has missed two straight with elbow soreness. He received a cortisone shot on Sunday and hopes to play Tuesday.

Stephen Drew (SS), Arizona Diamondbacks

Drew has been battling knee soreness and missed a game over the weekend in addition to sitting out Monday against the Cardinals.
