In the new look of the Wrap-Up, I will highlight the hot and cold players at each position. Why hear about how good the stud players are already doing when you can find out how well the widely available players are performing on the diamond? As always, let’s start with the list of key injuries
Injuries
Carlos Santana (C), Cleveland Indians
Updating an injury note from last week, it seems that Santana’s knee injury was severe enough to end his 2010 campaign as he underwent season-ending surgery on Friday. Don’t fret, he is scheduled to be fully recovered by the start of next season.
Russell Martin (C), L.A. Dodgers
Remember when Russell Martin was fantasy relevant? Now he has suffered a labral tear in his hip, which will keep him on crutches for several weeks and will most likely require surgery.
Nyjer Morgan (LF, CF), Washington Nationals
Remember when Nyjer Morgan was…oh screw it. Morgan has hit the DL with hip soreness, but he is confident that he can make a speedy recovery. Just watch for the injury to linger on a player who is known for base stealing.
