In the new look of the Wrap-Up, I will highlight the hot and cold players at each position. Why hear about how good the stud players are already doing when you can find out how well the widely available players are performing on the diamond? As always, let’s start with the list of key injuries
Injuries
Chipper Jones (3B), Atlanta Braves
Chipper’s season (and possibly career) is over after he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee. He shouldn’t play this season, but Chipper doesn’t want the last season of his career to go out like this.
Jacoby Ellsbury (LF, CF), Boston Red Sox
Ellsbury is back to being a spectator after landing on the DL once again this season. He re-aggravated his broken ribs and you could tell the injury was lingering as evident by his .118 avg since his return on August 4th.
Nelson Cruz (RF), Texas Rangers
Well it’s back to the DL (3rd time this season) for Cruz. He is suffering from a strained left hamstring, which is too bad since he has been a fantasy stud this season.
