Shaq Waves the Baton for the Boston Pops

Shaq Conducts the Boston Pops (www.necn.com)

A future Hall of Famer, a rapper, a cop, and now a maestro. Yes, Boston Celtics center Shaquille O’Neal spent Monday commanding the Boston Pops at their annual holiday show, and the video can be seen below. Even though it was Shaq’s first time, he looked like a professional. He waved his baton to a few Christmas Carols, and even commanded the piece “We Are the Champions” (foreshadowing for this season, perhaps?). Shaq says that his experience in the symphony has now given him a newfound respect for conductors, saying that after his performance, his arms were “shot.”

This cool stunt just goes to show that the Big Shamrock always brings his A-game when it comes to off-court entertainment.
