Chalk this up as another blip on the radar for anyone that follows what Celtics center Shaquille O’Neal does with his free time. On an interview in the Dale & Holly Show, the Big Shamrock said that he’d enjoy being a human target for fans to clobber with snowballs somewhere in the Boston area. He’s done everything from conducting the Boston Pops to posing as a statue, all for some off-court entertainment to the public.
Why the snowball ambush though? Maybe it’s because he wants to show Bostonians that he’s really the toughest center in the NBA. Or perhaps he wants to let the people vent their anger after witnessing an amazing 14-game winning streak get snapped. Maybe it’s just because he’s Shaq. If anyone is cool enough on the team to actually do this, it’s Shaquille O’Neal. I don’t know if people will start getting a little fatigued from these little public stints, or if they already are, but I for one can’t get enough of it. I think every new thing he does is funnier than the last. I’d like to know where he’ll be for this so I could say I pelted him a couple of times….out of love, of course.
