2011 NFL Playoffs Expert Picks: Wildcard Round Results

Seattle caught some surprising prey Saturday. Can the do it again? (Getty Images)

Well, that was a surprising week. Seattle started things off by upending the defending champs; they were the only home team to win. Then the Jets finally beat Peyton Manning when he didn’t take a half off on a field goal at the buzzer. Then Baltimore throttled Kansas City, and finally Green Bay held off Michael Vick’s late push with an interception.

Other than the Ravens, and the slightly less than half of us who took the Packers, that round largely took us here at SoB by surprise. Picking the touchdown total for the Ravens/Chiefs also got many of us some extra points (and two point conversions), and passing yardage picks here and there got us some points as well. Sorry, Erikk, no master points for guessing that exactly right, but if it makes you feel better, it’s happened before.

With a full slate of games next week, including another Pats/Jets rodeo, be sure to tune in then, as we give you our choices for Round 2:
