UPDATE: Marquis Daniels suffered a bruised spinal cord. He was not concussed and had movement of his arms and legs, but will be out at least a month. CAT and MRI scans will be performed.
In the 2nd quarter of Sunday’s game against the Magic, Marquis Daniels left the game after falling to the ground while making a move on Gilbert Arenas. Daniels hurt his neck, and was sent to New England Baptist Hospital.
It wasn’t the only rough moment for Boston. Earlier, Glen Davis landed awkwardly on his head after taking a charge, and held it on the floor for several minutes. Davis was treated in the locker room, but fortunately returned to the bench.
Even Dwight Howard took a shot to the face when Semih Erden missed a block attempt. Both Daniels and Davis were concussed in last season’s Game 5 against the Magic, and if Celtics keep dropping like flies, it’ll be a rough rest of the season. Keep checking the news feeds for updates on Daniels’ condition and other updates.
