Brandon Meriweather Accused Of Shooting Two People In Florida

You’ve all heard of the “Big Bang Clock” regarding Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather’s prounciation of Big Ben in London…but now must we nickname Meriweather the “Bang Bang Clock”?

Deadspin is reporting (along with WEEI.com and 98.5 The Sports Hub) that Meriweather has been accused of shooting two men at a party in Florida in February. The men’s lawyer, Matt Morgan, says his clients believe Meriweather shot them during a fight. Morgan said it may turn into a “he said, she said” case while expressing his doubts about whether Meriweather actually was the shooter.

“I have a lot of doubt about that. That’s what these fellas told me. But I don’t assume that to be true at all. I assume nothing to be true until we get an investigation completed,” Morgan told WEEI. ”Their allegation to me is that one of the fellas was in fight with someone else out there and their allegation is Meriweather shot him, that bullet grazed that fella’s head and hit the second client through the cheek and head.”

The story begins at the Blue Jeans Lounge in Meriweather’s home town of Apopka, Fla, where Meriweather’s friend allegedly beat up a woman. Instead of calling police, she told her brother, who allegedly decided to take justice into his own hands.

The brother then showed up at an after-party to confront Meriweather’s friend, and beat him up. During the scuffle, Meriweather fired his gun at the brother, grazing his face while hitting another man in the head.

Officially, no one has been charged in the investigation, which is still considered open. Meriweather has not been mentioned in the police report either.
