Brandon Meriweather Debuts Rap Song on Toucher and Rich

Brandon Meriweather is a part time rapper during the NFL lockout. (www.hiphoprx.com)

In case you missed it,Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather recently released a rap song to pass the time during the NFL’s lockout (follow the link to listen).

Good God. I understand boredom comes with the lockout, but…really? I’m not a rap fan by any stretch, but this is beyond awful.

From what I can make out in Brandon’s verse (he’s the first one who’s rapping), the song is about the loss of a friend. My heart goes out to him, but to get his name out in the rap game, he should have made his first jam a little more up-beat.

Toucher and Rich have agreed to write him another, more uplifting beat if he writes another song. I guess everyone deserves a second chance…right?
