The Finals are over, and the Mavericks won their first ever NBA Finals. LeBron James still hasn’t won one, much to the delight of Cleveland. They won in Miami twice, which the Heat really couldn’t come together in order to stop. Game 6 was the dagger in the heart of Miami that handed Dirk Nowitzki the Finals MVP.
The couple of us that picked Dallas really profited from the series point-wise, and the others puttered to the back of the line. Not to many people here saw the Heat’s preseason boasting not coming to fruition once the Finals started.
So who ended up with the Pick ‘Em crown in the end? Without further ado, the winner of the 2011 NBA Playoffs Pick ‘Em is… Derek! Getting all eight points from the final round clinched it; after all, if you thought the Mavs would win, Nowitzki was the logical choice for MVP.
