At long last, the Bruins have won a Stanley Cup. They destroyed the Canucks in all three games in Boston, and the pressure of nearly dropping all of the previous three games at home finally got to Vancouver in Game 7. Of course, Tim Thomas didn’t help Vancouver’s cause, either.
Though he did help out the three of us who chose Boston to win the Cup, the three of us who needed it the least. Never have I been happier to be wrong. And Thomas did give some extra points to those who had him being named the winner of the Conn Smythe MVP trophy.
So the podium was set up nicely for the three big SoB winners, but who took home the crown? The winner of the 2011 NHL Playoffs Pick ‘Em is… Derek, as you would have known yourself if you had checked everyone’s Finals picks and saw how many points everyone else could have gained on him. This completes a sweep for Derek along with the NBA Playoffs Pick ‘Em. At least he didn’t try to buy a title like the Yankees always do.
So there you have it. Check below for the final standings, as well as the Finals results, and even just to check up on how the game went for everyone.
