Video: Kevin Fowler, Red Sox Sing “Hell Yeah, I Like Beer”

Josh Beckett, John Lackey (Music Video Still)

On Friday, after the Red Sox collapse was complete, we told you about reports that said Red Sox pitchers were drinking beer during games on their off days. I speculated that the starting staff was responsible, basically because they have regular off days and were collectively horrendous in September.

Wait ’til you see this video.

If you can’t stand the song, fast forward to find…

  • Jon Lester (1:42)
  • Josh Beckett and John Lackey (2:06), (2:32), (2:40)
  • Tim Wakefield (2:09)
  • Clay Buchholz (2:23)

Hmm. I guess the Red Sox like beer.

  1. That’s awesome. Thanks, guys: what little reservation I had about dumping the Red Sox like a 25-year bad habit is gone now.

I’ve heard my Cubbies are on the prowl for a hot new GM. Go Ricketts!

  2. Ah, SO that is what happened. The pitching staff likes beer. Lackey is an idiot, Beckett is not far behind.
