Twitterverse Fallout: LSU CB Tyrann Mathieu Suspended
What a crazy day in Baton Rouge.
The Daily Reveille, the LSU student-run newspaper, first reported that Heisman candidate Tyrann Mathieu has been suspended for this weekend’s game against Auburn.
Mathieu, along with starting running back Spencer Ware and starting cornerback Tharold Simon, were suspended after they reporedly failed a drug test. The details are forthcoming.
It is feared by some that the suspension will span over four weeks, which would put the three starters out of the Nov. 5 showdown with Alabama.
The news spread all over LSU’s campus earlier this afternoon. Here’s some of the response on Twitter from members of the Baton Rouge, and national, media.
