Sunday’s AFC Championship Game marks the 15th season since the Patriots hosted their first AFC Championship Game on Jan. 12, 1997.

That day, the Patriots earned their second trip to the Super Bowl, beating the Jaguars 20-6. Of course, the team lost the Super Bowl to Brett Favre’s Green Bay Packers 35-21.

In honor of that very talented 1996 team, the Patriots will have four honorary captains (from that team) for Sunday’s game against the Ravens: QB Drew Bledsoe, LB Tedy Bruschi, CB Ty Law, and WR Troy Brown.
