Distracted? Youkilis Marries Brady’s Sister, Has Baby On The Way
Last week, Bobby Valentine said Kevin Youkilis isn’t “as physically or emotionally into the game as he has been in the past.” He later backtracked…but it looks as if he was right.
On the field, Youkilis is hitting .190/.271/.310 with 1 HR and 5 RBI. I know it’s early, but maybe injuries and years of wear and tear have taken their toll on Youkilis.
According to Boston.com, Youkilis married Tom Brady’s sister Julie last week in New York. The two got engaged just months ago.
Youk and his now-wife are also expecting a child. I’m not amazing at math, but my calculations tell me that Julie Brady was probably pregnant at the wedding.
So, would planning for a quick wedding and an unexpected baby distract Youkilis? I would say so.
On a side note, what is it with Bradys and unexpected pregnancies? Am I right?
