Report: Spurs Interested In Kevin Garnett?

Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan

We’re just one day removed from the Celtics’ loss in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Miami, but that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from turning.

According to the San Antonio Express-News, the Spurs are interested in pursuing Kevin Garnett, who is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

“The Spurs will consider everything and everyone this summer when free agency begins. But one option tossed out this weekend by one in the Spurs organization is not just another name. Kevin Garnett,” Buck Harvey reports.

Spurs legend Tim Duncan is also an unrestricted free agent, but he’s expected to re-sign with San Antonio.

Garnett, on the other hand, is reportedly considering retirement instead of returning for his 18th NBA season.

If I was a gambling man, I’d bet that Garnett returns to Boston if he does not retire.

Either way, this offseason should be very interesting.
