The Celtics are continuing to bring last year’s band back together. First it was Kevin Garnett, and now it’s forward Brandon Bass.
The C’s and Bass reached agreement on a three-year deal, according to several reports.
Bass declined a player option for $4.25 million to return to the team, but had hoped to re-sign on a long-term deal in Boston. It looks like he got his wish.
Last season, Bass averaged 12.5 points and 6.2 rebounds. He started all 20 playoff games and became a reliable force inside while the team lacked big men.
The Celtics are hoping to also re-sign guard Ray Allen, who reportedly will choose between the C’s and Heat. If Allen doesn’t pan out, the team may move to sign guard Nick Young.
