The Celtics lost to the Knicks in overtime on Saturday in Hartford, 98-95. Being that it was a preseason game, the likes of Jamar Smith, Micah Downs and Chris Copeland played some ugly basketball in the 4th quarter and overtime. It was the type of game that neither team of third and fourth stringers looked like they were capable of winning.
The Celtics regular rotation had some great highlights in the first half, punctuated by Jeff Green absolutely embarrassing Jason Kidd and the Knicks defense. Green has been the real standout of Celtics’ training camp this year and his re-emergence post heart surgery should be a huge source of optimism for Celtics fans heading into the regular season. The Celtics play the Sixers tonight as the NBA preseason continues.
