The NBA season is underway. Miami is looking to defend their title, the Lakers have retooled for another title run and the Bulls will look to get by without Derrick Rose for a good chunk of the season. In the midst of it all, we’re here to bring you our selections for how the season will turn out.
As usual, every panelist gets one point for correctly guessing a team to make the playoffs, or two points instead for correctly guessing a division winner. Guessing the #1 seed in each conference is worth eight points, then seven points for #2 and so on. The best record in the NBA is worth two points. Ties will be broken by guessing the worst, second worst and third worst teams respectively in order, then in any order, then lowest combined winning percentage of all three selections.
The division winners have been easy to pick, with only the Bulls sans Rose providing question marks (Indiana looks to profit from that). Other teams are popular selections as well, with the order up for grabs. That leaves some fringe picks to fill out the standings, which could always make that last bit of difference.
So while you enjoy all the exciting action and horrible officiating the NBA has to offer, you can follow along with our picks below. And be sure to check back upon season’s end for the results.
