
With just over seven minutes left in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night’s game against the Utah Jazz, Jeff Green finally showed off the side Celtics fans have all been waiting for – the aggressive, angry, in-your-face Jeff Green from the preseason.
After a pumpfake from the corner, Green drove to his right, rose up in the paint, and absolutely owned former Celtic Al Jefferson with a vicious one-handed slam. In fact, he threw it down with such authority that even Green himself couldn’t help but stare down Jefferson, breaking away from his normally impassive, almost timid nature. It earned him a taunting violation, but given Green’s struggles so far this season, no one seemed to mind him showing off a little (much deserved) swagger.
