Patriots Waive Deion Branch, Activate Aqib Talib

Deion Branch (Boston Herald)

For the second time this season, the Patriots have released wide receiver Deion Branch.

Branch has been seldom-used this season, compiling only nine catches in seven games this season. But, he remained a valuable and reliable target for Tom Brady, until now.

In a related move, the team also released Malcom Williams and signed WR Greg Salas and activated CB Aqib Talib.

I would expect the team to re-sign Branch at some point later in the season.
