Bruins-Lightning Game Postponed due to Snowstorm “Nemo”

After already moving back the start time from 1 to 7 p.m., the NHL has postponed tonight’s game between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning due to the blizzard “Nemo.”

If only the game could have been played outside.

The postponement comes despite both teams already being in Boston. The storm dumped over two feet of snow in the Boston area, making it dangerous for players as well as stadium staff and security to get to the TD Garden, according to a statement from the league office.

A new date to make up the game has yet to be announced.

Both teams will use the extra time to travel to their next games. The Lightning are taking a bus to New York to face the Rangers Sunday night, while the Bruins will head to upstate New York to take on the Buffalo Sabres at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
