Celtics Trade Rumors: Nets Offer Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks for Paul Pierce

According to Yahoo!’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Brooklyn Nets have offered the Celtics forward Kris Humphries, guard MarShon Brooks and a first-round pick in exchange for Celtics forward Paul Pierce.

The Celtics reportedly declined the trade, but the two teams have been in talks about a deal for Pierce. The Celtics want forward Mirza Teletovic and maybe another first-round pick included in the deal, but the Nets are unwilling to pay such a steep price for Pierce.

Pierce, 35, is averaging 18 points per game, but is shooting just 41 percent from the field, his worst mark in eight years, as Wojnarowski points out.

As for other potential deals…

For now, the Celtics and Clippers are done discussing a trade for Kevin Garnett. The Celtics won’t deal Garnett unless guard Eric Bledsoe and center DeAndre Jordan are included in the deal. The Clippers appear reluctant to deal that much, unless Chris Paul forces management to make the move, Wojanorowski said.

Garnett has a full no-trade clause and has repeatedly said he intends on finishing his career with the Celtics.
