If Stephen Gostkowski thought he had no competition as the only kicker on the New England Patriots roster, he might want to think again.
For Tom Brady’s birthday, Vince Wilfork is looking to see how he can contribute on the offensive side of the line of scrimmage. “Wilfork, DL,” apparently no longer suffices in Patriots’ game-day programs. It seems he’d like to be “Vince Wilfork, DL/K.” Should Gostkowski be worried about his job security?
As it turns out, not so much. Turns out Wilfork can kick a football about as far as I could throw the 300-plus pound nose tackle.
Well, at least it’s refreshing to see that even Bill Belichick’s Patriots can have a sense of humor.
