Former Bruins goalie Tim Thomas is back in the NHL, this time with the Florida Panthers.
Thomas, 39, signed a one-year deal, according to ESPN. The deal could be worth up to $3.75 million, with incentives.
Thomas took last season off because he felt he needed a break, but it would appear he’s ready to return to the NHL.
He played his entire career with the Bruins, winning a Stanley Cup in 2011.
He famously declined an invitation from President Barack Obama to go to the White House to celebrate the win.
