The duck boat parade in Boston for the Red Sox on Saturday was a culmination of everything the team accomplished — winning the World Series in six games, shocking the baseball world in doing so and putting an entire city on its back after tragedy.
The Red Sox did a nice job in representing their role in recovering from the Boston Marathon bombing, halting the parade at the finish line on Boylston Street.
Then, Jonny Gomes and Jarrod Saltalamacchia brought the World Series trophy off the boat, along with two “Boston Strong” Red Sox jerseys, and posed for a photo at the finish line.
After Ronan Tynan delivered his rendition of God Bless America, Gomes placed the trophy, along with a jersey, at the finish line in easily the best photo of the day.
