Patriots, Julian Edelman Agree on New Contract

Julian Edelman

The Patriots didn’t let Tom Brady’s most trustworthy weapon slop away this time.

The team and wide receiver Julian Edelman agreed Saturday on a new contract.

Edelman confirmed the news on Twitter.

Edelman had a team-high 105 receptions in 2013 during the best year of his career.

He was Brady’s most reliable receiver all year, while injuries plagued Danny Amendola, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Dobson, Shane Vereen and others.
