On a day when the Red Sox lost their 10th game in a row, former Sox “ace” Josh Beckett threw a no-hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In a 6-0 win over the Phillies, Beckett walked three and struck out six, throwing 128 pitches in all.
It was Beckett’s first career no-hitter and the first for the Dodgers since Hideo Nomo did it in 1996.
