If you’re a Red Sox fan… or if you were in 2004 when they won it all, you probably couldn’t help but smile during the pre-game ceremonies at Fenway Park.
The Red Sox brought out most of the cast of characters from that World Series-winning team, including a recovering Curt Schilling (he has been battling cancer), Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez, who was slated to throw out the first pitch.
It didn’t quite work out as planned.
The two, of course, were reenacting a play from that season when Manny inexplicably dove to cut off a Damon throw from the outfield.
