NBA legend Bill Russell, widely considered as one of the 2 or 3 best centers in league history, was hospitalized Thursday after feeling faint while giving a speech in Nevada.
The 80-year-old Russell was taken away from the event on a stretcher and taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The Celtics said Russell was “feeling better” and reports said the Hall of Famer would be “OK.” Russell was expected to fly back to his Seattle-area home Thursday evening.
Russell was reportedly telling a story about Wilt Chamberlain to a group of Konica Minolta employees.
