(Photo from Deadspin)" >
Rob Gronkowski and Matt Light were caught on camera partying shirtless on stage with LMFAO at the Patriots after-party just hours after losing the Super Bowl on Sunday night/early Monday morning.

Is there anything wrong with this picture?

I have a few different feelings about this…

First, Light is 34 years old and a little long on the waistband. Are you seriously dancing topless on the stage at a LMFAO show?

Second, how the hell is Gronk moving so well on his severely injured ankle??? Yo soy fiesta, indeed.

Finally, I realize that Gronk and Light (and others) have had a very long season and worked like hell to get where they got. But after that loss, this looks pretty bad:

If I (as a fan) am feeling crappy and dejected and not in the mood to party after watching Sunday’s game, does it appear that I care more about the game than they do? It sure does appear that way, but let’s be honest, I have no idea how a loss like that feels for the players. I only know as a fan.

So, I guess it’s their life, and people have their own ways of coping with things.

If we want to look at it a different way… the players had a bad day at work on Sunday, and what do people usually want to do after a bad day of work? They drink. So, they drank.

At first glance, Fake Tom, also known as Nick Lower of Missouri, resembled the Brady of a couple years back. He has long, flowing brown hair and a thick beard (do you ever remember the real Brady with a thick beard?).

“I didn’t really expect this,” Lower told Dan Hanzus of NFL.com. “I figured all the attention would be on the players, but I guess I get a glimpse of what Tom Brady deals with every day.”

Yeah, OK.

Now, after some thought, I’d liken Lower to a mix between David Arquette and Julian Edelman (when he had long hair). What do you think?

Everyone, say hello to Jenny Dell!

Dell, a UMass graduate, will become NESN’s new Red Sox in-game reporter, according to the Boston Globe’s Chad Finn. She replaces Heidi Watney, who left at the end of last year to become a reporter for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Dell has been working at ESPN as an on-air reporter, and also did some work off-camera too. She worked at the Winter X-Games as part of her last gig in Bristol.

(Photo by Greg Fiume/Getty Images)" >
Tim Thomas was first off the ice at practice Tuesday, which usually indicates he would start in net that night.

He did not.

One day after purposely skipping the Bruins’ event at the White House, and on the same day as President Obama’s State of the Union address, Thomas rode the bench.

In his place was Tuukka Rask, who proceeded to allowed four goals on just 22 shots Tuesday night in, of all places, Washington, D.C.. The Caps added an empty-netter to win 5-3.

Rich Peverley, playing on the top line with Nathan Horton out (mild concussion), got the scoring started for the Bruins with his goal in the first period, the only goal in that period for either team.

Then, the teams combined for five goals in the second period, leaving the score locked at 3-3 after 2.

In the third, Mathieu Perreault completed the hat trick after compiling two of his goals in the second, giving the Caps a 4-3 lead.

Former Bruin Dennis Wideman added an empty netter to complete the scoring.

The Bruins next play NEXT Tuesday against the Senators, due to the NHL All-Star festivities this weekend.

Tim Thomas released a statement on his Facebook page why he skipped Monday’s event at the White House as President Obama honored the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins.

“I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.

This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.

Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.”

Cam Neely also released a statement about his goalie’s decision:

“As an organization we were honored by President Obama’s invitation to the White House. It was a great day and a perfect way to cap our team’s achievement from last season. It was a day that none of us will soon forget. We are disappointed that Tim chose not to join us, and his views certainly do not reflect those of the Jacobs family or the Bruins organization. This will be the last public comment from the Bruins organization on this subject.”
