I have a stubble beard going…so technically you can count me in, but I’m not going nearly as hardcore as Wes Welker or Tim Thomas. But in case you haven’t heard, Welker is growing out his playoff mustache and is urging Patriots fans to do the same ahead of tomorrow’s clash with the Broncos. So, [...]
For the first time, a Boston sports team will be visiting the White House during the Obama administration. All three Patriots champs, the two Red Sox champs, and the ’08 Celtics all visited the White House during George W. Bush’s eight years in office. Now, the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins will be honored by [...]
We’re telling you this because…well, I’m not sure. But in case you were wondering, music legend Eminem has decided to weigh in on this year’s NFL playoffs, speaking with GQ Magazine. While Eminem feels the Patriots will beat the Broncos, he has to give it up to Tim Tebow: “Tebow’s doing some really incredible sh*t [...]
Seriously, let them begin! Anything that distracts Tim Tebow ahead of his Saturday night clash with the Patriots. According to OK Magazine (I know, a gossip magazine isn’t technically a credible source, but bear with me here), Perry’s parents want to hook their daughter up with Tebow, a good Christian boy. “Katy’s mom firmly believes [...]
Brad Marchand is still serving his five-game suspension, so he has some time on his hands. The B’s winger took time to set up his Twitter account. Follow him: @Bmarch63
For the first time in recent memory, the Bruins and Canadiens played a meaningless game. Why? Well, simply put, the Canadiens suck this season. Montreal is 12th in the Eastern Conference and has a losing record. They entered the game 16 (!!!) points behind the Bruins in the East. Things are so bad, they traded [...]
“I can’t accept that we will display a losing attitude as we’re doing this year…We prepare for our games like losers. We play like losers. So it’s no wonder why we lose.” With those words earlier in the week, Michael Cammalleri really sealed his fate. After playing the first two periods of Thursday night’s game [...]
One of the best teams in the NHL, the Bruins, will be well-represented at the NHL All-Star Game in February. Joining goalie Tim Thomas, who is set to start in net, will be forward Tyler Seguin and defenseman Zdeno Chara. In just his second season, Seguin leads the B’s with 17 goals and 38 points [...]
House before Brad Marchand was actually suspended for his hit on Sami Salo, “The Province” inadvertently published an article about Marchand’s XXX-game suspension. Say what?
Bruins winger Brad Marchand was suspended for five games by the NHL on Monday for his low hit on Vancover’s Sami Salo during Saturday afternoon’s Stanley Cup rematch. “As the video shows, Marchand skates towards Salo along the boards,” Shanahan said in a video posted on the league’s website. “Rather than deliver a shoulder-to-shoulder check, [...]
Tim Tebow was horrible over the final three games of the season as Denver went 0-3 to finish with an 8-8 record that was barely good enough to win the AFC West. This led many to predict that Sunday’s start against the Steelers might be Tebow’s final start in the NFL. Some reports even had the Broncos [...]
The Patriots have found their replacement for the departing Bill O’Brien: former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The 35-year-old McDaniels will join the Patriots immediately and help coach the Pats as an assistant during the playoffs. Then, he’ll take over as the offensive coordinator on a full-time basis in 2012.
Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien will become the new head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions, according to a report from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. O’Brien will be replacing the legendary 84-year-old Joe Paterno. A press conference is set for Saturday. The move allows Penn State to officially move on (in a football sense) from [...]
The Bruins have been so good this season, they lead the NHL in goals per game (3.43), goals allowed per game (1.91), and goal differential (+60). Simply put, they are the best team in the NHL. That’s why their 4-2 loss last Saturday against the Stars was so surprising, though it is impossible (except in [...]
