Vince Wilfork Asks for Patriots to Release Him

Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, who has spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the Patriots, has reportedly asked to be released, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. Rapoport reports that the Patriots asked Wilfork once to restructure his contract, but Wilfork refused and the two sides haven’t talked contract since.

Aqib Talib Signs With Denver Broncos

In a nice shocker overnight, former Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib signed with the Denver Broncos to a 6-year, $57 million contract. The deal leaves the Patriots with Logan Ryan or the currently imprisoned Alfonzo Dennard at the top corner spot.
