Former Patriot Bruschi to Join NFL’s Climb up Mt. Kiliminjaro

Tedy Bruschi may just be one of the toughest competitors to put on a professional uniform here in New England, and now he’s out to prove it again.

The three-time Super Bowl Champion and former New England Patriots linebacker, along with former Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher and former Eagles tight end Chad Lewis, will embark on a climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project; dedicated to aiding wounded soldiers and veterans. Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa, peaking at 19,341 ft. Boston Strong Raffle Image (600X250)

Did you miss out on getting tickets to the hottest show this year, the Boston Strong Benefit Concert at TD Garden? You still have a chance to go to the concert, which is being held on May 30 to benefit those affected most by the Boston Marathon bombings.

NetRaffle.org is holding a raffle for Bruins forward Milan Lucic’s personal TD Garden suite (14 concert tickets), including appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. The winner will also receive $698.25 to mitigate the tax liability.

Scheduled performers include Aerosmith, Jason Aldean, Boston, Jimmy Buffett, Dane Cook, Extreme, J Geils Band, Godsmack, Carole King, New Kids on the Block, James Taylor, Steven Wright and other special guests.

The entry deadline is 11 a.m. on May 29. The drawing will be held later that day.

Raffle tickets cost just $2, but you need to purchase a minimum of five tickets.

One Fund Boston

In the events between April 15 and April 19, four people were killed and more than 250 were injured, including 15 people who lost limbs. The survivors need our help.

The One Fund, organized by Mayor Tom Menino and Gov. Deval Patrick, is designed to help those impacted most by the Boston Marathon bombings. The One Fund has already raised $28 million, but more is needed.

While the Celtics will be focused on beating the Nets on Christmas Day this year, several team members are taking time off to give back to the community just in time for the holidays.

Garnett Gets in the Christmas Spirit

Earlier this week, the Celtics hosted a Christmas party in Boston at the top of the Hobbs Skywalk observatory for children patients at Boston Medical Center. Kevin Garnett was in attendance and spent the majority of his time playing games with the children and spending time talking with some of his biggest fans.

Let’s face it. With the NHL lockout in full effect, Bruins coach Claude Julien has nothing going on.

He appears to realize that, so he will be offering up his services to a lucky youth hockey team, and it’s all for a good cause. Proceeds will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and Massachusetts Hockey.
