Dolphins Release Chad Johnson After Arrest

It just went from bad to worse for Chad Johnson. The Dolphins have released Johnson, less than 24 hours after the wide receiver was arrested for head-butting his wife, Evelyn Lozada. The Patriots released Johnson earlier in the offseason when he was still named Ochocinco.

Chad Johnson Arrested for Headbutting Wife Evelyn Lozada

Former Patriots wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested Saturday for domestic assault after he allegedly headbutted his wife, Evelyn Lozada. Johnson and Lozada allegedly went out for dinner, and when they returned home, Lozada found a receipt for a box of condoms, sparking a fight, according to the Orlando Sun Sentinel. “It gets pretty heated,” […]

Chad Ochocinco Signs with Miami Dolphins

As confirmed by the “Ochocinco News Network,” former Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. “The 6 time Pro Bowler will now get a chance to finish his career in his home state,” the OCNN said. Ochocinco, a Miami native, caught just 15 passes for 276 yards and […]

Patriots Release WR Chad Ochocinco After Failing to Trade Him

Naaman Roosevelt. Andrew Hawkins. Jordan Norwood. These are three receivers that the casual NFL fan has most likely never heard of. But also, they are three receivers that each had more catches than Chad Ochocinco had last season. The New England Patriots released Ochocinco Thursday, after just one season with the team. ESPN’s Adam Schefter […]

A Restructured Contract for Ochocinco

After failing (miserably) to live up to expectations last season with the Patriots, it is no surprise that Chad Ochocinco has agreed to restructure his contract for the upcoming season. Ochocinco lowered his base salary from $3 million to $1 million, ensuring him a spot at the Patriots training camp this summer. Of course, it was re-structure, re-locate, or re-tire. […]

2012 Patriots Blueprint to New Orleans (If They Don’t Sign Wes Welker)

Tuesday, I introduced my blueprint for the Patriots offseason…if they re-sign Wes Welker. The following looks at the what the Patriots should do if they cannot sign their best wide receiver. Scenario #2 – the Patriots let Wes Welker walk This scenario would not surprise me in the least. Welker vs. Samuel It would be a […]

Chad Ochocinco Changing Last Name Back to Johnson

Chad Ochocinco did not seem like himself at all this season. Obviously. Maybe another name change will do the trick… Ochocinco has confirmed via Twitter that he will be changing his last name back to Johnson in time for his July wedding to Evelyn Lozasa, of “Basketball Wives” fame.

What Terrell Owens and Randy Moss Taught Chad Ochocinco

The oft-maligned and rarely used Chad Ochocinco told the Boston Herald Saturday that he’s often spoken with former Patriot Randy Moss and former Bengal Terrell Owens during this transition year to the Patriot way of life. The move seemingly makes sense: all three players are what Ochocinco called “diva receivers;” Moss is a former Patriot […]

Ochocinco Flies to Florida for Dad’s Funeral

Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocino flew to Florida on Friday, just two days before the first conference title game of his career, according to CSNNE’s Tom E. Curran. The Boston Herald’s Ian Rapoport reports that Ochocinco flew down to Florida for his father’s funeral, which is set for Saturday, but will be back in Foxboro to […]

Patriots Clinch First-Round Bye, Overcome 17-Point Deficit Against Dolphins

The New England Patriots took every punch the Miami Dolphins threw at them in the first half of Sunday afternoon’s game at Gillette. In the second half, the Patriots came out swinging, and the Dolphins went down for the count. The Patriots scored 27 points in the second half, overcoming a 17-point deficit to beat […]

NFL Power Rankings through Week 15: Christmas Edition

Just in time for the celebration of the birth of the Son of God, the crazy improbability of Week 15 in the NFL arrived. A number of teams kept their improbable playoff hopes alive, the Colts managed to win, and the Packers found a way to lose. Did the Colts and Packers hold onto their […]

Say What: Could Terrell Owens Be a Good Fit for Patriots?

Could it be? Prior to the Patriots 38-20 beat down against the Philadelphia Eagles, Drew Rosenhaus was seen on the Patriots sideline. Earlier Sunday, Rosenhaus said that one team is very interested in his client — Terrell Owens. Is it a coincidence that Rosenhaus roamed the New England sideline? Or could Owens join the Patriots? […]

In Defense of Chad Ochocinco

Chad Ochocinco has nine catches, 136 receiving yards and no touchdowns in six games this season. These numbers are far and away the worst they’ve ever been for Ochocinco, who averaged five catches and 74 yards per game in his first 10 seasons. Ochocinco has given the Patriots virtually nothing as he takes his sweet […]
