Olympian Jeff Demps is going from England to New England. The former Florida Gator running back and current member of the USA Olympic track team signed with the New England Patriots Friday, according to an ESPN report. Apparently he wanted to remain patriotically decked out in the red, white and blue.
Let’s hope the British don’t have any leftover grudges from the Revolutionary War, because the Patriots are scheduled to return to London next season for the NFL’s annual trip across the pond. On Oct. 28, the New England Patriots will square off against the St. Louis Rams at 1:00 p.m. EST in Wembley Stadium to [...]
Week 7 may be over, but there is a lot to digest. London was forced to confront their very notion of “football,” Tim Tebow took over as a starting quarterback, and Carson Palmer came out of retirement (at least technically) for the Oakland Raiders. As I do each week, I’ll assess each team’s performance and [...]
Last season, Brandon Meriweather said he likes “The Big Bang Clock” while visiting London with the Patriots. Say what!?! He meant Big Ben…I think. The video was re-exposed earlier this season on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich, but it only came to my attention recently. Enjoy!
Approximately thirty-four hundred miles and nearly two hundred and fifty years removed from the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere’s legendary ride, and the opening battle of the Revolutionary War, the irony is unmistakable. Not far from where King George III read the Declaration of Independence of the American colonies, Tom Brady was reading the blitzing [...]

Now this is more like it. After destroying the Titans in the year’s first snow bowl, the Patriots headed to London and dismantled another winless team, Tampa Bay, 35-7. The Pats wasted little time doing anything, when Brandon Meriweather intercepted a pass and ran it back 39 yards for a touchdown, on just the fifth [...]

Will all the teams with quarterback problems solve them? After both #1 seeds from the 2007 season failed to even make the playoffs in the 2008 season, anything can [...]

The Patriots are traveling abroad in 2009 as they will jet off to London’s Wembley Stadium to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 25, 2009. It’ll be the NFL’s third installment of NFL in the U.K. and next year’s tilt should have the best matchup of the three so far (first was Giants-Dolphins then [...]
