Celtics Complete Biggest Comeback in 16 Seasons Against Magic

The Boston Celtics got double-doubles from Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, plus double-digit scoring from three more, coming all the way from 27 down to beat the Orlando Magic 91-83 Thursday night at the Amway Center. It was Celtics’ biggest comeback in 16 seasons.

Paul Pierce returned to the Celtics Friday night hoping to help re-align and settle the offense. The result: triple-digit scoring nights from five players (including Pierce), 60 percent accuracy from the Celtics’ starters, and a 96-85 victory over the Detroit Pistons in the Celtics’ home opener.
