In what can be summed up as a disappointing season for the Bruins so far, the team has showed little signs of being a serious Cup contender and are on the cusp of not making the playoffs at all. The media and fans are quick to point fingers in all directions, but most notably the […]
After scoring just three goals in his first twenty seven games in the 2014-15 season, Loui Eriksson was beginning to feel the heat in Boston. Fans and media alike were clamoring for more production from the centerpiece of the Tyler Seguin trade all while comparing the two-way Swedish forward to the sharpshooting second overall pick. […]
The 2014-15 season has seen the Boston Bruins underperform and suffer through a myriad of injuries. These factors have resulted in a position that seemed unthinkable when the season began. If the playoffs started today, the Bruins would be right on the bubble and potentially watching from home. Much has been made of the rash […]
Jordan Eberle Trade Target There’s been a lot of buzz lately on the Bruins and Edmonton talking trades, specifically with Jordan Eberle being a target the B’s would love. This makes sense to some degree– the Bruins are hurting for a scoring winger and the Oilers are just desperate to shake things up. However, I […]
The Bruins put together a great character win Thursday night, coming back from behind to defeat the Oilers 5-2. Though it was against lowly Edmonton, it was good to see the team rally and finish strong. The Bergeron-Smith-Marchand line kept rolling, putting up another 4 points and the team is starting to click. It wasn’t […]
When the Bruins traded young offensive star Tyler Seguin to the Dallas Stars in July 2013 they received an impressive haul in return. The two headliners of the deal were Loui Eriksson and Reilly Smith, both of whom played extensively last year save for the time Eriksson missed due to injury. The Bruins also got […]
In fantasy hockey, offense is really the bread and butter of your team. They’re really the ones who will contribute in all categories and be the most valuable players in the fantasy hockey world. At least 7 or 8 of the first 10 draft picks will be forwards, and this is with good reason. When […]
The aptly named “reunion week”, which will see the return of four prominent former Bruins to Boston, didn’t quite get underway the Bruins would have hoped. But, they still have two games left to right the ship and prove that general manager Peter Chiarelli made the right moves. Game 1 Tuesday night saw the Dallas […]
Welcome to Dallas, Tyler Seguin! Seguin deleted that Tweet and later claimed his account was hacked.
It’s one day later… but it still happened. The Bruins have traded away 21-year-old forward Tyler Seguin. The B’s traded Seguin, Rich Peverely and prospect Ryan Button to the Stars for Loui Eriksson and prospects Joe Morrow, Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser.
It has been quite a hectic few weeks in Boston sports. Just about a week following the crushing Bruins loss in Game 6 to the Chicago Blackhawks, the B’s have taken no time off as the NHL Draft takes place this weekend. In a tweet early Saturday afternoon, Bob Mckenzie of TSN Canada tweeted that […]
Game one of the Stanley Cup Finals could turn out to be even worse than losing the game. Nathan Horton is being listed as ” day to day” after injuring his shoulder in the triple overtime thriller Wednesday night, not exactly great news for the Bruins. Horton has once again elevated his game during this […]
Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw scored the game winning goal in the third overtime period to hand the Boston Bruins a heartbreaking 4-3 loss in Game 1. The pesky Shaw deflected the game winning goal past Tuukka Rask 12:08 into the third overtime period. Rask made 59 saves in the losing effort.
The Bruins took a commanding 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, but were dealt a big blow with Gregory Campbell going down with a broken leg late in the second period while killing a penalty. Campbell will now miss the rest of the post season and while it is a huge loss for the […]
After a tough loss in game 4, the Bruins bounced back with a victory in game 5 over the New York Rangers to win the series 4-1. The Bruins did not play particularly well in game four, but one positive thing that we saw was Tyler Seguin playing his best game of the postseason. Seguin, […]
