Patriots Look Super in Win

The Patriots came out and dominated for most of the game today against the Jets, leaving little doubt that they are the Super Bowl contenders as billed.

Tom Brady, Laurence Maroney and Randy Moss all showed why on paper the Patriots have perhaps the most talent in the NFL. Maroney and Moss showed no ill effects from their injuries and Brady looked sharp all afternoon. Moss’ performance (9 catches, 183 yards and a touchdown) was remarkable considering he had not seen any game action.

The key to today’s game however belonged in the trenches. The Patriots offensive line pulled off an incredible performance as they gave Brady all day to throw and the new daddy wasn’t sacked a single time. Defensively, Richard Seymour was not overly missed as Vince Wilfork, Ty Warren and Jarvis Green dominated and allowed the linebackers to penetrate.

It’s tough to see how any mediocre team will be able to stop the Pats, but we’ll see their true medal next Sunday night against the Chargers.

More on the game later, what are your thoughts on today’s 38-14 win?
