Caldwell to Redskins

From Mike Reiss at Boston.com

Former Patriots wide receiver Reche Caldwell has landed with the Washington Redskins. Caldwell signed with Washington this afternoon. He also had interest from the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings. Caldwell said he thought the interest from the Jets was genuine and that his visit there last week, after the Patriots released him on Sept. 3, was not a fact-finding mission by Jets coach Eric Mangini.

The Patriots host Washington at Gillette Stadiuim on Oct. 28.
