NBA Playoff Pick ‘Em: Who Won?

So there we have it. We have a final winner of the Playoff Pick ‘Em and the result should not surprise you. I’d say he knows his basketball.

I will say that I am sticking by the rules I established beforehand. In retrospect, I would’ve weighed the amount of games in the Finals and the MVP choice as the same, but instead, choosing the MVP was simply a tiebreaker (see rules below for details). As a result….the winner of the Sports of Boston NBA Playoff Pick ‘Em? GEOFF!

NBA Finals Pick ‘Em Rules:

Instead of picking just one winner of the series, we will be picking from a few things. First, who will win the NBA Finals and in how many games will it happen? The next three will be tiebreakers…Who will be the NBA Finals MVP? What will be the final score of the final game? If neither one breaks the tie, it will be the total points scored in the final game (add up the final score to get the total). This will, once and for all, decide who is the blogger with the most basketball knowledge (for this year at least).

NBA Finals Fan Poll:

Who will win the NBA Finals?

  • Celtics in 7 (40%, 16 Votes)
  • Celtics in 6 (28%, 11 Votes)
  • Lakers in 6 (15%, 6 Votes)
  • Lakers in 4 (8%, 3 Votes)
  • Lakers in 7 (8%, 3 Votes)
  • Celtics in 5 (3%, 1 Votes)

  1. YEAH!! I didn’t actually expect to win this thing when I picked Garnett as the mvp, but cool anyways. This years playoffs were a great run and not just because of the Celtics winning it all but there were just some good basketball games played throughout. Now the NBA draft is headed our way. I’ll be watching for Gary Forbes outta my UMass. The NBA is still exciting for another week or so haha.

  2. haha. Yeah…doesn’t it sound good to say: “I wonder who the Celtics will get with the 30th pick?”

  3. Congrats Geoff!

I think I picked too many upsets at KC’s urging haha (I think that was his plan to force me out of contention).
