Patriots Sign Jerod Mayo

Just hours before the first practice of training camp the Patriots completed their rookie signings by inking a deal with first round pick Jerod Mayo.

Mayo was the 10th pick overall in the 2008 draft and looks to fill in among an aging inside linebacker corps. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With training camp starting, I’ll be publishing position previews for the 2008 Patriots.
