But the Bruins did help out their roster by inking a guy (Yelle is 34) that brings nice veteran presence, which was lost when Glen Murray’s contract was bought out in July. Center/wing Stephane Yelle signed a one-year, $750,000 deal.
According to the Globe’s Kevin Paul Dupont, Yelle is strong on penalty kills and also good in face-offs. The signing was a strong one because Murray’s departure left a void in both areas.
