Bruins Sign Veteran Forward Yelle

So will you be yelling for Yelle this season at the Garden? OK…sorry about that one.

But the Bruins did help out their roster by inking a guy (Yelle is 34) that brings nice veteran presence, which was lost when Glen Murray’s contract was bought out in July. Center/wing Stephane Yelle signed a one-year, $750,000 deal.

According to the Globe’s Kevin Paul Dupont, Yelle is strong on penalty kills and also good in face-offs. The signing was a strong one because Murray’s departure left a void in both areas.
