Dale Sveum Becomes Interim Manager for Brewers

Former Red Sox third base coach Dale Sveum became the Interim Manager for the Brewers after they fired Ned Yost with 12 games left in the regular season. He was the third base coach in Milwaukee before his promotion.

The Brewers had just lost four straight to the Philadelphia Phillies, leading to a tie atop the Wild Card standings between the Phils and Brew Crew at 83-67. A recent hot streak by the Astros has them currently just 2.5 games back in the Wild Card race.

  1. Is it just me or is this a desparate move? Is Sveum going to make that much of a difference in 12 games? If you’re the Brewer manager, you keep CC and Sheets in the game as long as they can go and hope you get some runs for them.
