The NCAA College Hockey Tournament field was announced Sunday morning and, to no surprise, BU was dubbed the overall #1 seed. The Terriers are coming off a 1-0 victory over UMass-Lowell to win the Hockey East Tournament, won the conference regular season title by a single point over Northeastern on the season’s final day, and claimed victory in the Beanpot tournament. The trifecta propelled Boston College to the National Championship last season and BU hopes to repeat the feat.

Northeastern will be the two seed in the Midwest Region in Grand Rapids, MI and draws Cornell on Saturday. The 1-4 pairing in their region is overall #2 and CCHA Champ Notre Dame against CHA Champ Bemidji State.

The West Region features #1 seed Denver, third overall seed in the tournament, against Miami and WCHA Champ Minnesota-Duluth against Princeton in Minneapolis, MN in Friday games.
