Red Sox Trade for IF Jack Hannahan

Looking for infield depth, the Red Sox traded with the Mariners for light-hitting corner infielder Jack Hannahan on Thursday. The Mariners got a player to be named or cash.

Red Sox Get: Mariners Get:
1B/3B Jack Hannahan Player to be named/Cash

Hannahan has played for Triple-A Tacoma all season, and is hitting .228. According to the Globe, he’ll likely head to Triple-A Pawtucket.

In  his four-year major league career with the M’s, Tigers, and A’s, Hannahan has hit .224 with 16 home runs.
